The Project

Initial Situation & Use

A vacuum cooling chamber was needed for use in restaurants and bakeries, which would enable rapid cooling while maintaining consistent product quality.
The goal was to develop a hygiene-compliant and robust mechanical solution that could be seamlessly integrated into existing processes.

Our Solution

G+P Engineering AG was responsible for the conceptual study and mechanical engineering of the vacuum cooling chamber from design through to implementation.
The electrical systems, controls and process were implemented by project partners.

Technical Specifications

  • Cold room size: ca. 2’000 × 800 × 1’100 mm
  • Ultimate pressure (process): ca. 60 mbar abs
  • Evacuation time: approx. 20–30 seconds (depending on the product)
  • Material: Stainless steel, hygiene-compliant
